Sand & Glass Filters

•Sand media: Filters to about 20 microns; needs replacing every 4–6 years.
•Recycled glass media: Filters to about 10 microns; lasts around 6 years.
•Glass Pearls: Premium option; filters to about 5 microns; lasts around 10 years.
•Backwashing: Sand uses approx. 300–350 litres of water per cycle; glass uses about half. Many councils require soak wells for backwash water.
•Best suited for: Areas with high calcium in the water.
